Katie Taylor, Founder of The Latte Lounge, spent four years being misdiagnosed before she finally received her perimenopause diagnosis.
During that time she visited around half a dozen different medical specialists who sent her off for a variety of investigations for her seemingly unrelated symptoms including; heart palpitations, brain fog, low mood, aching joints and anxiety. She ended up taking antidepressants for two years because doctors wrongly diagnosed her with depression. She also quit her job when her symptoms became too much.
The reason Katie set up The Latte Lounge was to help other women educate and empower themselves about perimenopause and menopause so that they would not have to go through the same experience that she did.

Katie has been where you are so she knows exactly how you are feeling.
She draws upon five years of ‘on the job’ knowledge, gained by working with, and alongside, a vast array of medical specialists and experts in the field of perimenopause/menopause and really understands the affect that fluctuating hormones can have on women’s health and wellbeing.
Katie wants to save you time and heartache, by helping you get the support and answers that you need NOW.
That’s why we are partnering with the team at The Menopause Consultancy to offer you the chance to have all of your questions about your hormones answered by a doctor in a confidential, virtual group setting.
We are now opening places to our very first session, limiting numbers to ensure all of your questions can be answered in the time available.

And if you’re trying to decide whether HRT or other lifestyle/treatment options might be right for you, but you’re just not sure what to do, then this is the place to ask our expert!
The exact topics at each Menopause Lounge session will be determined by you through the pre-event questionnaire that you complete. Our doctor will share information, offer advice and explain more about some of the most common topics surrounding our hormones especially during perimenopause and menopause.
Topics might include:
- how to deal with brain fog, low mood & anxiety
- the myths and facts about HRT
- alternatives to HRT
- how to manage sleep
- how to improve libido
- what’s happening to my hormones after 40?
