The perimenopause and menopause can be a very turbulent time, particularly for women with ADHD, whose symptoms can be exacerbated by fluctuating hormones.
This is one reason why so many women are diagnosed in midlife, often as a result of a lightbulb moment, having had a child diagnosed and recognised their own traits.
