Katie’s Story

I believe everyone can thrive in midlife.

At the age of 43, I began suffering from debilitating perimenopausal symptoms. Of course, I didn’t know that’s what it was back then - and I was misdiagnosed with having everything from anxiety and depression to an irregular heart beat and early onset dementia, by various doctors, over a four year period.

Finally, after years of feeling like a zombie and giving up my career to focus on my health, I was eventually diagnosed correctly by a menopause specialist. After a few months of being on the right treatment option for me (HRT), I started to begin to feel like my old self again - the relief was enormous.

It was then that I decided to set up a Facebook group to help other women like myself find support through perimenopause & menopause.

Our Facebook group has expanded to more than 20,000 members now, and a few years ago we launched our website, as well as our presence on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

Now, we are so much more than the menopause - we are here to help all women over 40 to thrive in midlife and beyond.
